pearl necklacesEveryone has heard the phrase "My grandmother's pearls" at some point.  Someone will say they are going to wear their grandmother's pearls.  Or they will state that they inherited some family member's pearls.  It seems that pearl necklaces are something that get passed down from generation to generation.  I recently inherited some pearls and I will cherish them always.  When my daughters get older, I will pass some of them down to them also.  Then they will inherit the rest when I am no longer here.  Pearl necklaces become beautiful family heirlooms, being passed down again and again.  Many families have some pearl necklaces that are from three or four generations back.  Pearls have a lasting quality about them, they are valuable so no one gets rid of them.  They are also a classic, never going out of style.  They can be worn with a little black dress, or jeans and a blouse, which makes them versatile.  Pearls are very pretty and almost everyone loves them.  I will always cherish my pearls, and think of my loved one who left them to me when I wear them.
