Pearl Necklaces
This morning when I got out of the shower and went into my jewelry box to grab one of my pearl necklaces, I noticed that the one I wanted to wear wasn’t in its usual spot. Instead, it was moved to another location in my jewelry drawer, where I generally keep my gold pendant. I found it to be odd, but I didn’t mention it to anyone, because I thought maybe I’d put it there when I took it off last and just didn’t realize.
I put on one of the pearl necklaces that my husband ordered online for me, and headed off to work. Once I arrived, I gave him a call and in conversation mentioned that one of my pearl necklaces wasn’t where it was supposed to be. He said that it was his fault, because he’d left the drawer open a few days ago, and that the cat got in the drawer and took the necklace. He found it on the floor with the cat about to carry it out of the bedroom to places unknown. He put the pearls back in the drawer and closed it. Talk about a close call.
