bridal jewelryI am so excited because I found out the other day that my younger brother, Doug, will be getting married in December of this year to his fiancé of one year; they have been together for four years in all. Money is of a concern with their wedding preparations, and to be honest, I don’t think that there is a wedding on earth that takes place – with exception to the wealthy – where money is not on the mind of the planner. But my mom has devised a really candid solution that is not only sentimental, but is also a big time cost-saver. She still has some vintage bridal jewelry from when she got married, about thirty years ago. She was already planning on passing it down to my sister when she got married, but the wedding never took place. Now with my brother strapped for cash and getting hitched, she has offered to let him and his wife-to-be have the bridal jewelry. I think that by giving them this amazing and vintage bridal jewelry, mom should automatically get excused from being placed on the gift register. And I already know how beautiful the bridal jewelry is, so my brother and his fiancé will be overjoyed when they find out that they are being given it.
