I have to say that I cannot, for the life of me, recall any wedding that I have ever attended where the bride was not at least wearing pearl necklaces. It seems that pearl necklaces are as much as a staple to the tradition of getting married, as white dresses and churches, and swearing your vows before everybody that you know is! For me, when my wife and I got hitched, I recall the gorgeous pearl necklaces that everybody was wearing; she and all of her bridesmaids. This coming year, in 2010, both my sister and my brother are getting married, and they will both be incorporating the classic staple of pearl necklaces into their weddings as well. I wouldn’t have it any other way! A bride’s dress, at least in my opinion, is easily complimented with pearl necklaces; the white pearls just glisten off the light and really bring attention, style and charm to lady waiting to be married. I am not sure how far back this wedding tradition of wearing pearl necklaces on your wedding day stems, but you won’t hear me arguing about it one single bit!
