I love going to weddings. With so many of my friends getting married, I’ve been going to more weddings as a bridesmaid or a guest. Recently, my friend, Ashley, had a 1930’s themed wedding. Her wedding dress was absolutely gorgeous. She wanted a more conservative gown, so she chose one with short sleeves and a long train which was totally appropriate for the time. Her veil was made out of fine lace. However, it was the accessories that created the distinct 1930’s feel. Ashley opted for gorgeous long pearl necklaces in her wedding. She decided to pile on strands which added an extra bit of glamor; it was very reminiscent of Coco Chanel, circa 1930. She even integrated individual pearls into the design of her dress. Pearls were definitely a classy addition to the outfit and provided elegance and beauty in an instant. I wanted to have my own pearl necklaces after seeing Ashley’s beautiful set of pearl necklaces.
