pearl necklaces

Not too long ago, my sister called me to ask if I knew what ever happened to the pearl necklaces that grandma used to wear all the time. Until she asked me the question, I'll admit that I hadn't thought about those pearl necklaces in years, but once she asked I started wondering the same thing. At first I wanted to know what made her think of the pearl necklaces, but she told me that she'd been looking through some old pictures of the family and saw a picture of grandma wearing the pearl necklaces and it made her curious. She said she'd never seen them after grandma died, and wondered if someone walked off with the pearl necklaces outside of the family.

I told her that I couldn't imagine that someone would have gone into grandmas home and taken the pearl necklaces but sometimes people do get a little crazy when someone passes away. I told my sister that I was headed over to moms and that I'd ask her about the pearl necklaces and see what she said. I told my sister I'd let her know what I found out.

When I arrived at moms, we were sitting at the dining room table having coffee when I brought up the subject of the pearl necklaces. She looked at me with an odd face and then smiled. She said that about a month before grandma died, she called her to come over to the house and she handed her the tattered box which contained the pearl necklaces. She said that she knew her time was coming, but that she didn't want anyone else to have them. She said they were special and for mom to take them and put them in a safe place. She did exactly that, she put them in the safety deposit box and forgot all about them.

I told mom that I found the entire necklaces saga to be odd, because I'd just placed an order for my niece for Multi-Color Freshwater Pearl Necklace, Bracelet & Earring Set with 14 Karat Yellow Gold Clasps *Includes 18""Chain, 7"" Bracelet and Post Dangle Earrings* from Ultra Mall who can be found online at www.theultramall.ispeedway.com. My niece is graduating high school this coming year, and I thought this would be something that was timeless that she could keep forever. Mom couldn't help but smile, and I told her that my sister would be happy to know that the pearl necklaces were in the family where they belonged.
