gold pendant

This morning I received an email from my brother asking if I would look at 14K White Gold 3-Stone Diamond Pendant with 2.00 Carat Total Weight that he found at Ultra Mall that can be found online at www.theultramall.ispeedway.com. My first response when I saw the gold pendant was Wow! Rather than email my brother, I picked up the phone and called him. I told him that I’d had a peek at the gold pendant and that I thought it was gorgeous. I followed it with the comment that I knew he loved me but that he didn't have to buy me such an extravagant gold pendant to prove it.

He laughed, although I could tell he seemed a little nervous. When I asked him what was up, he told me that his boss had entrusted him to the task of buying his wife a Christmas gift. Apparently his boss is going to be out of the country for the rest of the year, and suggested that my brother order his wife a gold pendant but that was all he said. He did give him a price limit, but this beautiful gold pendant happened to fall within the price range he quoted my brother, so I suggested that he go for it.

My brother was actually a little nervous about the whole process. He was worried that if his bosses wife didn't like the gold pendant that his boss would be offended and he'd find himself looking for another job or another function. I assured him that obviously the boss trusted him with a gift as important as his wife's Christmas gift, and the gold pendant was an amazing choice. I asked my brother what he thought, if he felt that she would like it, since I know he knows her pretty well after working at the company for the past 10 years. He did think she would love the gold pendant, and I told him again that he should go for it. I think I could actually hear him holding his breath as he ordered the gold pendant. I tried not to giggle, but I sure wanted to.

After he ordered the pendant, he told me that if his boss’s wife didn't like it, that he was going to blame it on me. I laughed and told him to feel free and that also if she didn't like the gold pendant that she could donate it to me. I think by the time we hung up he felt better about his purchase, although I still haven't quite figured out why the boss couldn't order the gift for his wife on his own.
