pearl necklaces

My best friend is getting married this year on Christmas Eve, and we've been planning the wedding for what seems like more than a year. We have everything planned, with the exception of a few things, one of which is the pearl necklaces which my friend and I can't seem to agree on. My mom tells me that it's not my wedding and I shouldn't be concerned about the pearl necklaces, but this is my best friend and I want her day to be perfect, which is why she knows she can count on me to tell her the absolute truth.

My friend is wearing her grandmothers pearl necklaces along with her mother's wedding dress. The two are the perfect combination, and she looks like a million bucks when she has everything on. She's gorgeous anyway, but when she puts on her dress, the pearl necklaces and her veil, she's breath taking. Her fiancée' is going to gasp when he sees her walking down the aisle. My best friend also wants all of the brides maids to wear pearl necklaces, but I feel as though since we are wearing Dangle garnet and cranberry pearl earrings on sterling silver French wires that I found at Ultra Mall whose online store can be found by visiting www.theultramall.ispeedway.com that match our dresses, that we should wear either a simple gold chain, or no jewelry at all around our neck.

I love pearl necklaces, but I do think they will take away from the pearls that the bride is wearing, plus the earrings are a little on the large side, so I think adding a pearl necklace would be too overpowering. My best friend can't decide whether to listen to me or her mom, who seems to think that the pearl necklaces will tie the total look together, but because my best friend will have the cranberry color in her bridal bouquet that is the color of our dresses, I don't think that the pearl necklaces will add anything at all to the overall look. I think my friend happens to agree with me, but she doesn't want to hurt her mom’s feelings, so I am going to put on some pearl necklaces, along with my pearl earrings and let her see them all together when I go for my final dress fitting tonight. I think once her mother sees them together, she'll understand that the pearl necklaces are just too much, and she'll agree. At least, that's what we're hoping.
